You know what it’s like. You spend a long hot day sanding
down that old piece of jarrah, working your way up the grades of
glass paper, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 2000… You’re just about
to wipe it down with a tack cloth, just about to open the polyurethane
when the southerly hits and dust goes everywhere.
There’s no point in trying to lacquer now – come back
again tomorrow. What if you could keep all your doors and windows
shut and still get the mirror finish you want? But isn’t that
a bit risky? Being trapped inside a ‘box’ of sawdust
is a bit like being inside a bomb – to say nothing of what
you’re going to breath in.
You can use your dust extractor to take care of the big dust –
but what about small stuff, the stuff that’ll ruin the finish
on that piece of jarrah? Microclene Air
Filters are designed to remove the very
fine airborne dust that dust extractors simply can’t pick
up.Look at the dust that collects on the outside of any dust bag
– that’s the dust that slips through the weave.
You’ll still need to wear a dust mask when you’re working,
but you won’t need to keep it on when you stop for a break.
